As the business grew, we added secure storage — the natural partner to removals — giving customers a simple, reliable solution when they needed extra space or time. Today, BMS remains family-led and values-driven. We select our team for attitude first—honesty, respect, and calm confidence, and we provide ongoing training and skills development. That’s how we protect the standard we’re known for and continue to deliver moves and storage solutions that feel organised, human, and genuinely supportive. Siva made his first delivery using his dad's car while working at Harvey's for a customer who couldn't get a delivery of his order in a reasonable time. Soon after Siva and Bala were making constant deliveries for the organisation using whatever vehicle they could drum up.
A trusted friend, Monty, joined Siva and Bala to make a team of three. As the number of deliveries and assembly jobs for Harvey's Furniture grew, 'BMS Transport' was registered at Companies House and they purchased their first van, for £800. Things were getting serious...
In 2007, Monty moved on, leaving Siva and Bala at the helm as opportunities increased and the brothers' ambitions for BMS began to grow. Siva and Bala approached other furniture retailers and, by 2010, were working for DFS, Dreams, and Furniture Village. With a number of Luton vans and staff members on board, they were well equipped to deliver a more substantial service.
In these formative years, the brothers entered the removals market more seriously and, in 2015, bought their first 18-ton lorry. By 2018, 70% of their work was Removals and Storage.
By 2018, BMS Transport was a fully fledged removal and storage service, with a clearer understanding of who they are as a company and of their value and service offering. In 2023, BMS Transport moved to new premises in Wimbledon, providing an ideal central location to serve South London and the surrounding counties. The larger premises also allowed them to provide a more substantial storage and aftercare service. Today, 'BMS Removals" (rebanded) has over 30 members of staff who absolutely prioritise customer experience, with moving a 'Home' or a 'Workplace' being much more than simply moving items.
